The Lord Wants Me to Forgive May 27th-June 2nd
In Mosiah 26: 29-31 the Lord taught Alma about forgiveness. Have the children count how many times they hear the word forgive in those verses. Sing Help Me Dear Father with them (Visual Aids for Help Me Dear Father). What does this song teach us about forgiving others?
My Testimony Can Strengthen Others June 3rd-9th
Learn the words and sing the song “Testimony” (Hymn no 137 visual aids available in our shop). Ask the children what they learn from this song about testimonies.
Following Jesus Christ Keeps me on the Straight Path Back to Heavenly Father
June 10th-16th
Display pictures of Jesus that show what He did to show us the path back to Heavenly Father (for example, being baptized, helping others, teaching). Sing the song “I’m Trying to Be Like Jesus.” Encourage the kids to listen to the words and find the ways they can be like Jesus and follow his example.
I Can Share The Gospel of Jesus Christ June 17th-23rd
Sing We’ll Bring the World His Truth with the children. Ask them to listen carefully to the words and think about ways they can be prepared for sharing the gospel with others (learn from parents, listen to the prophet, learn about the gospel, read scriptures etc.) This is also a good time to learn a verse of “Follow the Prophet”.
Priesthood Power Helps Me Come Closer To Christ June 24th-30th
Sing the song “When I Am Baptized”. Ask the children if they know what priesthood power is. Talk to them about how ordinances are a way for God to give us blessings through priesthood power. Read Alma 13:16 and talk about how ordinances help us follow Christ so that we can live with Heavenly Father again. Sing “When I Am Baptized” again and ask the children to listen for reasons to be thankful for priesthood ordinances.
