Temples, baptism and Easter! What beautiful messages to sing about this month during Primary Singing Time!

Temples

In Come Follow Me for February 26th-March 3rd a focus on the temple being the house of the Lord is discussed. The song I Love to See the Temple is suggested as a teaching tool: Help them (the children) find phrases in the song that teach what the temple is and what we do there.

This is also a great way to help the children learn the parts of the song. You can have the visual aids up on the board and ask a child to come point to a picture that represents what the temple is or what we do in the temple.

Baptism

For March 18th-24th we read in 2 Nephi 31 about how Jesus set the example and was baptized. Teaching the song “When I Am Baptized” is a great opportunity to discuss why Jesus wants us to be baptized too.

Easter

From Come Follow Me March 25th-31st “The Risen Savior’s visit to the America’s is a powerful witness of His Resurrection. Consider telling the children about it using 3 Nephi 11, 3 Nephi 17 or the song Easter Hosanna.” The verses 3 Nephi 11: 8-10 and 16-17 go especially well with the song “Easter Hosanna”.
